At A Glance

I've been working in the tech industry for 7 years and I've worn a lot of different hats in that time! I started out in IT, doing internal tech support and Active Directory administration. From there I transitioned to Web Development, learning JavaScript, HTML, and CSS on the job. I continued on the Software Development path, adding C#, TypeScript, and SQL. I learned about database administration, data warehousing and report writing. I spent a few years learning as much as I could and leveling up 💪 until I got a position as ✨ Senior Software Engineer ✨!

As the team I am on grew, it eventually split into two teams, and then three. I noticed that everyone was so focused on landing business features that our developer tooling and infrastructure was languishing. This was exciting to me because it meant it was time to learn something new again! My IT background helped me get started and I dug in to learn all about Cloud Native DevOps 😍! I've been ramping up on Kubernetes cluster administration, using Terraform and Git Flux to manage Infrastructure as Code, and the Azure cloud environment.
